A seminar titled “Issues and Challenges of Fund-Type Retirement Pensions” was held under the theme of key issues and future tasks surrounding the fund-type retirement pension system. As the low rate of return in the retirement pension system and the weakening of its function as a source of old-age income security have recently emerged as major policy issues, this seminar was organized to conduct a multifaceted analysis of the legal and institutional issues and policy implications surrounding the structural limitations of the current contract-type retirement pension system and discussions on introducing a fund-type system, and to discuss the future direction of retirement pension system reform as well as the tasks facing companies and workers in responding to such changes.
We thank everyone who participated.
