This seminar was organized to explore new directions for teacher policy amid the accelerating decline in the school-age population and the growing trend toward smaller schools. Various policy alternatives for ensuring the sustainability of the education system were discussed, including teacher supply and demand and the redefinition of teachers’ professionalism.
