The establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) pursued by the Trump administration in the United States, along with the executive order to abolish the federal Department of Education, is being regarded as a symbolic step toward realizing small government. These measures encompass a wide range of reform tasks, including reducing the functions of the federal government, regulatory reform, fiscal savings, and strengthening educational autonomy, and they serve as an important case for gauging the direction of administrative and education reform.

This seminar aims to draw lessons from the U.S. case of administrative reform in order to explore the new administration’s strategies for regulatory reform and government efficiency, as well as the direction of education reform.

We ask for your interest and participation.
