As debate over shortening the workweek—such as the four-day workweek and 4.5-day workweek—emerges as one of the major agendas in the presidential election, we believe that reforming the wage system beginning with the public sector is an even more important task. Accordingly, this seminar will examine the problems of the seniority-based wage structure in the public sector, including the step-based pay system, as well as the current progress in public institutions’ transition to a job-based pay system.
This seminar will focus on discussing concrete measures to enhance the productivity and flexibility of public organizations.
We ask for your interest and participation.
