A seminar commemorating the 300th anniversary of Kant’s birth will be held at Yeollim Hall on Monday, April 22, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
The rules of conduct based on the moral principles embodied in the “categorical imperative” encompass the long-cherished values of liberalism, such as individual freedom, dignity, and equality before the law. Through this seminar, we will once again shed light on Kant’s legacy for liberalism, as he emphasized that the central task of a constitutional state governed by the rule of law is to protect freedom and civil rights.
We ask for your interest and participation.
