There is a growing chorus of voices expressing concern over excessive environmental regulations. The Ministry of Environment has come under continued criticism for what some call “regulation absolutism” over various policies it is implementing, including expanding the list of items subject to single-use product restrictions and uniformly tightening regulations on product packaging materials. Questions are being raised as to whether regulations that dampen the business environment are truly appropriate for the goal of environmental protection.

The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) is holding a discussion meeting to examine the practicality and effectiveness of expanding environmental regulations and to explore ways to innovate environmental regulation. We ask for your strong interest in the discussion by experts.
