Book Concert Celebrating the Publication of *How Would Ronald Coase Solve It?*

Writer

The government has continued its efforts to promote eco-friendly vehicles such as electric and hydrogen cars in order to protect the environment. In pursuit of the goal of carbon neutrality, domestic automakers are paying fines amounting to billions of won when they emit large amounts of greenhouse gases or fail to sell enough electric vehicles. Is there really no other solution to environmental problems besides the government’s one-sided method of imposing mandates and quotas?

Ronald Coase, a Nobel Prize-winning economist, devised the groundbreaking and distinctive system of emissions trading for greenhouse gases. To commemorate the publication of *How Would Ronald Coase Solve It?*, the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) takes a look at Coase’s special solution to environmental regulation. If you are interested in how problems can be solved efficiently through exchange and competition, we invite you to take a keen interest in this book concert.
