The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) is holding its 28th Market Economy Essay Contest. We look forward to your diverse thoughts on our everyday lives as seen through the lens of the market economy!
□ Eligibility: Anyone who supports the market economy
□ Submission Period: Friday, November 4, 2022 – Monday, November 14, 2022, deadline at 17:00
□ Topics
- Any topic related to the market economy: describe various episodes commonly encountered in daily life using the principles of the market economy

□ Submission Requirements: 10 pages of 200-character manuscript paper (about one and a half A4 pages, approximately 2,000 to 3,000 characters)

- The submission form will open at the start of the submission period.
- Entries not prepared in accordance with the submission format and guidelines may be disadvantaged in judging.
□ Announcement of Winners: Wednesday, November 30, 2022, posted on the website and notified individually to winners
□ Awards
- Grand Prize: 0 winner(s) (certificate and a 300,000 won gift certificate)
- Excellence Award: 00 winner(s) (certificate and a 150,000 won gift certificate)
- Merit Award: 00 winner(s) (certificate and a 50,000 won gift certificate)
※ All winners will also receive Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) books as additional prizes.
□ Other Information
1. Website traffic increases significantly from the day before the deadline. Please register at least one hour before the deadline.
2. In the case of duplicate submissions, only the most recent Op-Ed submitted will be considered.
3. Submitted entries cannot be edited or deleted.
4. Copyright to all submitted works belongs to the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE).
5. If a submission is found to plagiarize a previous award-winning work or another person’s work, the prize may be revoked even after selection, and all legal responsibility rests with the entrant.
6. Personal information of applicants will be collected and stored for the purposes of awards, prize conferral, delivery of prizes, and newsletter distribution.
