“There Is No Freedom Without Property”


A book by Harvard University professor Richard Pipes, Property and Freedom rose to the ranks of a classic as soon as it was published! Through an extensive body of historical evidence, it demonstrates that the private property system is a decisive element of a free and prosperous society.


Read the acclaimed book that clearly explains liberalism, Property and Freedom, and win the honor of receiving an award as well!


□ Eligibility: Anyone who wants to read a book this summer


□ Application period: Friday, August 21, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – Monday, August 31, 2020, 5:00 p.m. deadline


□ How to apply:

Read Property and Freedom and submit a book review of 10 sheets of 200-character manuscript paper (about one and a half A4 pages)


□ Submission method:

Register according to the format on the application page of the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) website ▶

- Entries not prepared in accordance with the application format and method may be disadvantaged in the judging.


□ Announcement of winners: Wednesday, September 9, 2020, posted on the website and individual notification to winners


□ Awards

- Grand Prize: 0 winners (certificate and a 300,000 won gift certificate)

- Best Excellence Award: 0 winners (certificate and a 200,000 won gift certificate)

- Excellence Award: 0 winners (certificate and a 100,000 won gift certificate)


※ All winners will also receive books from the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) as additional prizes.


□ Other

1. User traffic increases from the day before the deadline. Please register in advance at least one hour before the deadline.

2. If you try to register right at the deadline, heavy traffic may prevent smooth submission.

3. In the case of duplicate submissions, the most recently submitted book review will be accepted.

4. Submitted entries cannot be edited or deleted.

5. Copyright for all submitted works belongs to the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE).

6. If another person’s work is plagiarized or misappropriated, the award may be revoked even after selection.

7. Applicants’ personal information will be collected and stored for awarding, prize delivery, and newsletter distribution.
