The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) is holding its 22nd Market Economy Op-Ed Contest. We look forward to your diverse thoughts on our everyday lives as seen through the lens of the market economy!

■ Eligibility: Anyone who loves the market economy (apply through the submission page)

■ Submission Period: Tuesday, November 5, 2019 – Thursday, November 14, 5:00 PM deadline

■ Submission Topics

- Any topic related to the market economy:

Describe various episodes that can be easily encountered in everyday life using the principles of the market economy (please refer to the award-winning entries on the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) website)

■ Submission Guidelines: 10 pages of 200-character manuscript paper (approximately one and a half A4 pages)

■ How to Submit: Register according to the format on the submission page of the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) website

- Entries not prepared in accordance with the submission format and method may be disadvantaged in judging.

■ Announcement of Winners: November 30 via website notice and individual notification to winners (award ceremony scheduled for December)

■ Awards

- Grand Prize: 0 winner(s) (certificate and KRW 300,000 gift certificate)

- Excellence Award: 00 winner(s) (certificate and KRW 150,000 gift certificate)

- Merit Award: 00 winner(s) (certificate and KRW 50,000 gift certificate)

※ All winners will also receive books from the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) as supplementary prizes.

■ Other Information

1. Website traffic increases from the day before the deadline. Please submit your entry at least one hour before the deadline.

2. If you submit right at the deadline, heavy traffic may prevent smooth registration.

3. In the case of duplicate submissions, the most recently submitted Op-Ed will be accepted.

4. Submitted entries cannot be edited or deleted.

5. Copyright for all submitted works belongs to the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE).

6. If a submission plagiarizes a previous award-winning work or plagiarizes/misappropriates another person’s work, the award may be revoked even after selection.

7. Personal information of applicants will be collected and stored for awards, prize conferral, prize delivery, and newsletter distribution.
