A completion ceremony was held for the winter-semester intern researchers who worked for two months from January to February 2024. A total of 12 intern researchers joined the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE).
The intern researchers carried out a great deal of work even within a short period of time, creating content in various formats such as card news, audio clips, and e-books, and even contributing Op-Eds directly to the media. We would like to express our gratitude to the intern researchers who worked so hard over the past two months.
The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) runs internship programs every semester—in spring, summer, fall, and winter. These internship activities provide opportunities to participate directly in the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE)’s various projects and content production. We ask for your continued interest.
Date and Time: Thursday, February 22, 2023, 10:00 a.m.; Tuesday, February 27, 4:00 p.m.
Venue: Yeollim Hall, Forest Vision Center
- Intern Reflections -
Thanks to my internship at the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), I was able to study what market economy and freedom—the fundamental ideals of the Republic of Korea—really mean. It was difficult at first because I was adjusting, but now that the internship is over, I think it was just growing pains. The two months felt short in one sense and long in another, but they were enough time for compressed growth. I would definitely recommend the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) internship to others.
- Ho-jun Wang, Intern Researcher
Until now, I had only created materials at the university level, but with the help of the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), I was able to deepen my understanding of practical work. I will treasure my experiences at the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) and continue to grow further. Thank you!
- Chaehee Kang, Intern Researcher
It was a meaningful time in which I could learn about the free market and the economy while taking part in a variety of activities! I will continue to stay engaged and do my part to help the free market economy flourish.
- Juhyun Park, Intern Researcher
I think the greatest strength of the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) internship program is that it offers many opportunities to discover economics—something I had thought of only as a rigid and difficult theory—proactively in our daily lives. I was also able to build my capabilities in many areas by experiencing work such as audiobook production, Op-Ed writing, and book cover design. The valuable feedback I received through my internship at the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) became the foundation that will help me take the next leap forward.
- Suhwa Jung, Intern Researcher
I learned a lot and had a very enjoyable time as an intern at the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE). The Center for Free Enterprise (CFE) entrusted interns with independent responsibilities and had us engage in a variety of activities, including research, presentations, and content production. Through these experiences, I was able to learn something new and grow every week. In particular, activities such as writing Op-Eds, giving presentations, and designing book covers gave me many opportunities to demonstrate my ideas and creativity.
In addition, I was able to gain a wide range of information through interacting with my fellow interns. By sharing our experiences and knowledge, I was able to expand my personal network, and I was 200% satisfied to see us growing together!
- Minseong Kwon, Intern Researcher
During my internship at the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), I came to understand aspects of the real-world economy that I had not seen when studying economics academically. Thank you for all the help and guidance you gave me :)
- Chaerin Kim, Intern Researcher
Thanks to the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), I was able to learn many things in a great environment. I am truly grateful that we were able to spend such valuable time together!
- Hyojae Hong, Intern Researcher
I wanted to gain a variety of experiences related to economics, even though it was unrelated to my major, and thanks to this internship I was able to learn a great deal of knowledge and gain many experiences. It was interesting that economics could be explored in many genres beyond simple economic news, and I also appreciated learning what I should study more going forward. Thank you so much for these past two months!
- Jisu Yang, Intern Researcher
It was a short period, but I was glad to gain a wide range of knowledge not only about current economic issues, but also about design, writing, and video production! I had been worrying a lot about my career path, but through the internship I gained confidence about the direction I want to take and was able to grow. It was even more meaningful because I spent this time together with teammates my own age. Thank you for taking such good care of me!!
- Yeonsu Choi, Intern Researcher
The internship was so fulfilling that the two months felt far too short! I was glad to be exposed to a variety of activities related to economics, and I think I was able to grow even more. If anyone is considering applying for an internship at the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), I would definitely encourage them to take on the challenge. Thank you for the past two months.
- Nakyung Cheon, Intern Researcher
It was such a shame that after working for only about two months during winter break, I was already completing the program. I was able to learn so much during the internship. Thanks to the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), I am leaving with many wonderful memories. I sincerely thank everyone at the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE).
- Jaehoon Jung, Intern Researcher
It is unfortunate that I cannot fully express all my gratitude in this short reflection. This internship experience will be a great source of nourishment for me going forward. It was also a precious time in which I could reflect on how, through the keyword “market economy,” we might create a society with “a better tomorrow than today.” Thank you so very much.
