Book Concert for “Education to Raise My Child to Become a Silicon Valley CEO”

The book concert for *Raising My Child to Become a Silicon Valley CEO* was held on Monday, September 22, 2025.

This event examined the structural limitations of Korean education through the stories of global CEOs and explored new educational directions that respect creativity and a spirit of challenge. The author, Dr. Jungho Kim (former adjunct professor at the Graduate School of Economics, Sogang University), emphasized that diversity and autonomy are needed more than uniform regulation, and presented education that fosters entrepreneurship as the key to future competitiveness.

The event began with welcoming remarks by Sung-no Choi, President of the Center for Free Enterprise (CFE), followed by a presentation on the book by Dr. Jungho Kim. It was then followed by a Q&A session with Hyunseo Kwon, Director of the Future Center at the Institute for Economy and Society, and Geonho Kim, Youth Team Officer at Gunpo City Hall, participating as panelists. The two panelists asked questions on topics including

practical, real-world education, education that learns through failure, and demand-centered education,

and Dr. Kim emphasized the need for reform of the education system to support creativity and innovation.
