This seminar examined, under the theme of “The Youth Employment Cold Snap: Causes and Solutions,” how experienced-hire-centered recruitment and the replacement of entry-level tasks by AI affect young people’s employment opportunities and skill formation. It then discussed directions for institutional reform, including improving labor market flexibility and project-based education in the use of AI, and suggested that diverse opportunities should be opened up so that young people can gain hands-on experience and create their own work not only through employment but also through entrepreneurship.
