[Roundtable] The Individual, Community, and Liberty in the Post-COVID Era

During the COVID crisis, governments around the world readily implemented various nationalist policies to prevent the spread of the epidemic. Representative examples include entry bans, price controls on quarantine supplies, and export bans on such materials. Amid this national disaster, concerns have been raised that individual liberty is being seriously threatened, while some argue that, realistically, a certain degree of sacrifice is inevitable in order to stabilize the situation. This private roundtable was organized to critically examine the liberal philosophy of the individual and community in relation to the COVID crisis and to share perspectives on the post-COVID era.
